Gotu kola (centella asiatica) is an herb that has been used traditionally to treat people with memory and stress related problems. It helps strengthen connective tissue as well as the integrity of the protecting sheath around the veins. According to studies, gotu kola is highly effective in strengthening weak veins; it is also very effective in reducing foot and ankle swelling.
Dosage information: up to eight 400 to 500 milligram capsules per day; or up to 3 cups of tea per day (steep 1 teaspoon of dried herb in 1 cup of hot water for 10 to 15 minutes); or 20 to 40 drops of tincture up to two times per day.
