No matter who you are, you have told a lie at some time in your life. What is a lie? A lie is something that is not true. Editing a few pounds off of one of your images using Photoshop so that you can look a little thinner and younger and keeping the entire truth from someone are all considered lies. Some people tell little white lies to help themselves feel better or to keep from hurting others, but unfortunately, the damage is in the eyes.
No matter how small or innocent the lie may be, lying hurts the eyes. The eyes cannot work properly if consistently lied to. To be a good liar, you have to have a good memory, so that you can continue to perpetuate the lie so you do not get caught. Thanks to the extra concentration as well as strain on the eyes, they become damaged.
Trained professionals can see who is lying to them by using a retinoscope. The eyes do not lie; therefore, a retinoscope is a ten time better truth detector than a polygraph test. A lie alters how the eyes see as well as how they react to the light.
The mind still knows the truth, even when someone continues to lie on a day to day basis, which may also cause them to believe their own lies. In the case you train yourself to believe your own lies; the mind has a mechanism to deal with that, it begins to decipher its own reality. Some people have the ability to only hear things that they want to hear and they twist the truth to fit their own reality. People that hear what they want to hear can end up in some serious arguments as well as some serious predicaments.
When you put too much strain on the eyes, you can lose focus as well as concentration. Having a conversation with another individual will always end in failure because you will not be able to hear what they are saying. The conversations will lead to difficult arguments because your mind will be unable to process the truth and it will not be able to handle negativity.
If you’re beginning to misrepresent what others are saying, maybe it is time for you to step back, gather yourself, and regain focus. Get your natural thoughts back to normal by taking a few minutes to relax. If you’re too strained, you will not have the ability to give enough to the conversation and it may look and appear to be one sided to the other individual. Therefore, step back, relax, and then get back into the conversation when you’re ready to deliver yourself fully as well as honestly.
